[BeWell] Today, EHMA’s Executive Director, Federica Margheri, spoke at the webinar: ‘Closing the Digital Skills Gap for the European Health and Care Workforce’– as part of the #BeWellProject, hosted by the @OBShealth.
Federica introduced the @BeWellProjectEU, and its mission to respond to the urgent need for improvements on green and digital skills across Europe’s health and care workforce. As Federica explained, the BeWell project is:
🔹 Is developing a skills strategy for the entire health ecosystem, while also delivering hands-on training
🔹 The project has created free, online training programmes tailored to professionals like nurses, doctors, pharmacists, health managers and new emerging roles
🔹 A needs assessment in six countries gathered input from over 600 professionals to guide course development
🔹 Courses address both foundational digital literacy and advanced competencies, like data analytics and ICT in healthcare
🔹 The upcoming Next-Generation Skills courses focus on the digital expertise needed for the health workforce of tomorrow
🔹 BeWell also offers a Skills Monitor: featuring over 100 regularly updated, diverse digital training opportunities
