Agree with #NoNewRoads. Journey time improvements have happened all the way through history of railways, when and who 'decided' 125mph is fast enough? Cars running at 150mph would be chaos, we are mid-size by European standards, it connects major centres and plans #BeyondHS2 1/2

First we need to build #HS2 and get past the frankly barmy and bonkers 'environmentalist' opposition to it. I have nothing against people raising concern, but many failing to see big picture
@JunagarhMedia @EmBeck2015 The contraints are often (maybe not always) on the mainlines, which #HS2 relieves. More #LocalTrains and #RailFreight is the big win from #HS2, and we also need to look #BeyondHS2 for the further improvements and new lines we need.
