I know too many librarians who think the library really needs some poor person’s fifteen bucks or fines teach “responsibility” (show me a library mission statement that says we do that!) or even that we’ll even ever collect those fines anyhow. #BooksAreForUse
Now it is clear to me that, a lot of us want to read, but perhaps we don't have access to books of interest, a conductive environment or we can't afford a good book.

Speaking as a Librarian, it is indisputable that a vast number of Nigerians have completely lost interest in reading, both in and out of higher institutions. To say that the reading competition and zeal among them is fast declining is simply stating the obvious.
