Every detail, from his hooked nose to his curt expressions, contributes to the way students fear him and the way readers perceive him as morally ambiguous.

4. Because of this, the show will either:

•Leave them unchanged and create problematic interpretations
Either outcome breaks the promise of a faithful adaptation.
5.Snape is one of the most important and complex characters in the series. His appearance, demeanor, and outsider status are tightly linked. Changing this weakens the intended characterization and narrative impact.
6.The claim that this is purely “the best actor for the role” is unconvincing. There are numerous actors who both fit the established description and can deliver the required performance without altering the character itself.
