Here's another way to do what we call #BrainButtons. Massaging these points also helps us centralize vision in the midfield, where the L & R visual fields overlap. #BrainGym RT: 1 Minute a Day for Healthy Lymphatic Flow! Dr. Mandell https://t.co/1zIIk5o4gZ via @YouTube
A terrific everyday tool! #BrainGym #BrainButtons Variation: gently massage the K27s with one hand while holding at the navel with the other. Slowly move eyes 3x L and R across the midline, activating your full visual midfield. Notice how this centers and expands your vision!
Use this quantum quickie to charge up your meridians! Did you try it? What did you experience?
I've recently been volunteering at an Assisted Living space. Such a lovely group, and I'm learning so much! We enjoy doing #BrainGym - #BrainButtons #CrossCrawl, along with lively games. Some favorites: "Click!" "Bluebird, Bluebird;" "Rig-a-Jig-Jig;" "Here We Are Together." #Joy
Vital info! How will we activate our eyes and whole body today? Eye-teaming for saccadic moves, focus /accommodation, and vestibulo-ocular reflex. In #BrainGym and #VisionGym, we offer 40+ moves to playfully prompt these visual skills, and more. #Lazy8s #BrainButtons #TheElephant

Easy #tracking of visual stimuli can, as we mature, make a huge difference in the development of #reading, writing, & more. In #BrainGym, we use the Energizer, Neck Rolls, the Owl,...to prompt neck strength & good positioning. For tracking, we use #BrainButtons, #Lazy8s, plus.
Youโre probably familiar with the domino effect - wherein one event or action sets off a whole series of others.
Your childโs development happens in much the same way.
Take vision for example.
When babies are born, their view of the world is limited. And not just because their early vision is blurry.
Newborns also lack the neck strength to control the movement of their heads, meaning that their ability to direct their gaze is highly restricted.
But by three months, itโs a whole new ballgame, with both improved visual acuity and newfound neck strength enabling them to direct their gaze in the direction of their choosing. And even to follow objects in motion.
In this case, your babyโs improved head and neck control serves as an aid to their visual tracking.
Check out this little guy for example. Heโs tracking the crab with his eyes, but notice how much head movement is also involved.
When development in one area begets development in another (or, in some cases, multiple others), we call this a developmental cascade.
Itโs one reason that the development of entire collections of new skills seem to appear as if overnight. Once the first domino falls, look outโฆ because many more will follow in rapid succession.

Eye and head movements are an essential measure of attention. [T Foulsham: 2015] By noticing high-low and L-R points in our visual field, we prompt the accuracy of our all important central vision. #BrainGym #BrainButtons #ThinkingCap #DoubleDoodle #MovetoLearn

Sitting often results in shortened posterior muscles as well as forward head posture, neck strain, visual stress. Brief movement breaks can help to restore muscle length (calves, neck, shoulders+), and energy to eyes. #BrainGym #LengtheningActivities #BrainButtons #TheElephant
Digital communication is amazing! It works best when we choose to be the master of the screen, and not at its mercy. Move, blink, breathe, and look into the distance frequently, for at least 20 seconds, to break a #staring habit. #BrainGym #BrainButtons #EarthButtons #MovetoLearn
