Pain exploded at the back of Chrissy's head, and blackness descended. Her #brain_malfunctioned as she woke, her vision disjointed, ears ringing. The #sepulchral space made her frightened, but she couldn't understand why. An empty coffin stood starkly in the center of the stone room. Letters carved on the lid looked familiar as she traced them. Footsteps shuffled somewhere close, making the hairs on her neck rise. She tried to stand, but dizziness overwhelmed her. Instead, she curled up, making herself as small as possible. Cruel, mocking laughter came from within the deep shadows. "Do you remember me?" She said nothing, quivering, eyes straining. "I told you I would find you again, you little whore. No escaping from me now." "Www..." she struggled to form words. As he crossed the room to end her life, the door flew open. A glint of metal was all she saw before a bullet took the man in the middle of his back, exploding through his chest and spraying her with blood. The man holstered his revolver, lifting her from the dank floor. A susurrus of #the_dead swelled in unison, each begging to tell Chrissy their stories. Tears coursed down her dirty cheeks. #horrorprompt 2329 @PGPayT #366FF
