A “smokescreen” thrown out by @RichardbrutonTD has worked #broadcastingcharge. Nothing going to happen 5 yrs at least yet all over MSM. No mentions of #MariaBailey except for journos telling us to move on. Insurance fraud, for those with connections, now swept under the carpet.

@pauldonaldillon 100% against it, make it an optional subscription service, but Govt of the day won't as they'd lose their pet broadcaster who will push the party line under threat of their license €€€ being tampered with. #broadcastingcharge

@eoinmauricedaly You're not slow at all, they won't make RTE a subscription service because they know sod all would voluntarily pay for it, and the Govt of the day would have no broadcaster to push their propaganda under threat of tampering with license fee #broadcastingcharge
