IMPORTANT! Magento 2 documentation update: an attribute can only have 500 options, if it has more, we will not return its options for filtering... why? Adobe likes to hardcode such numbers...

Magento 2 core team logic with file uploads:
- allow 255 characters to be saved in database
- check if file-name has over 90 characters, if it does, throw an error instead
- add a nice comment about it in the code

The bug I've reported to Magento 2 is much more critical than I've ever thought. Basically this gap in saleable product IDs might cause all (or most of) products disappear from the frontend
