My current plan is group quiz, and individual test. I’m open to group tests, but I still think the individual should show mastery at some point to earn the grade for mastery

What’s been nice is ALL Ss receiving instant feedback multiple times in one class. Then they get the C4U and it’s made clear that if they can solve those problems, they should feel prepared for future assessment. I’m passing out the where you are/headed chart tomorrow
A0 we did some VNPS whiteboard work in Calc to list everything we knew about trig! Also did non-curricular puzzles in the first days. Happy with random groupings and regrouping often #BuildTC

@MrsRoseLam A3 His figure that had the super wordy rubric with all the columns that no student ever reads? I think he got that from me....I am very excited to try a rubric with a continuum instead #BuildTC
@MrsRoseLam A1 One thing that struck me about the purpose of notes was the fact we don't have textbooks now. So the notes and examples really are important as students don't have a textbook to refer back to as they did 10 years ago. #BuildTC
@MrsRoseLam A1: I’m going to provide a template because last year I didn’t give structure other than that they should write down what they would want to look back at in the future. A lot didn’t take notes and some later wished they had. I’m hoping a little more structure will help #BuildTC

@merryfwilliams A2: I’m pretty okay with it. I used to always focus on the most complex/sophisticated things, but now that I realize that I was only talking to a small percent of students, I’ve I would rather spend the majority of my time reinforcing the core concepts for everyone #BuildTC
@merryfwilliams #buildtc A3 I think it could be a useful tool to take photos, especially for absent students. Years ago, there was a trend for students to blog and I wonder about that - doing like a virtual consolidation with the photos as a backup? Could be helpful for parents / students?
