Hey you @CHATArch #chatmethod people, six years ago today I started retro live-tweeting the first CHAT conference in 2003. Look at the hashtag #chat10yr to see what went on....
Seeing as it's 10 years since the first CHAT conference, I'm going to attempt to retro-tweet it in real time over the next 3 days #CHAT10yr
This time last week #CHATmethod was drawing to a close! If you weren't able to be there, or just want to re-live the action, take a look through our Twitter moment!

The complex relationship between rage and joy, and the related realms of generosity and #academickindness continue to fascinate me in thinking about inclusive archaeologies+activism (and very much reflective of a weekend spent at #CHATmethod)
My last tweet about @KatherineRCook's talk didn't upload! She closed by saying rage isn't in a vacuum, we can't have it without joy. I loved that and I feel like it represents my feelings about my identity & activism. It's something I'd like to think about more.
Here's one to add to discussions abt participatory mapping, technology & power @CHATArch #CHATMethod
Hot off the repo! New Storytelling Template lets you quickly build location-based stories with high-quality map visuals. Just input copy, select the elements of the map you want to feature for each “chapter,” and publish. https://t.co/buhntYbFEx
Thank you @CHATArch for inviting @MuseumDetox and making room for a productive and impactful weekend! We hope our intervention made a difference! #CHATmethod

Everyone @CHATArch makes @CHATArch - thanks to all who came over the weekend - in person or by other means - thanks for your presence, thanks for your participation, thanks for the (archaeology of the) present! #CHATmethod
Went to #CHATmethod & it was amazing. So many new lines of sight & re-enquiry. Summed up by Isabel Nolan (surely one of the most insightful story weavers ever) on gratitude for the Dissatisfied Archaeologist & their continual questioning/questing! Thanks @CHATArch @MOLArchaeology

Thank you John! This is great. Thanks for coming along and engaging and producing this. Soulful! #CHATMethod
#chatmethod workshop on the contemporary archaeology of Canary Wharf https://t.co/4ZNgTWk88n. V stimulating conference, thanks to all organisers and speakers.
Fantastic #CHATmethod finished by building counter power skills courtesy of @iidaest & @siobhanforshaw_ & got a name for exploring museums (and well, life) from @arteology_now. Great big shout out to @el_dwyer & @LouiseELFowler for huge effort organising, roll on @CHATArch 2020!

Last paper yesterday—wow✨@ExcavatingReno reinstates you don’t need to be an expert or “know the vocab” to engage archaeologically w/ the world. Community, belief, passion & purpose just as important—so wonderfully evoked by Linda Brogan’s energy & extraordinary film. #CHATmethod

I loved @EverydayElvis’s workshop today, where we learned about Canary Wharf, and we had to choose something to add to the (hypothetical) Margaret Thatcher museum. It’s actually quite a fun type of task for a purposeful walk! #CHATmethod

My #CHATmethod #archink got entangled & embedded with my notes, ideas, questions from the conference, which is probably appropriate. Thanks to all the folks who indulged my archinking surprise plan - it’s a joy to see the creations online and in person from shy/non-twitterers.

#CHATMethod @GuerillaArchae's Barbara Brayshay (& Jacqui Mulville) on participatory counter-mapping at #Glastonbury. Interesting questions to ask about the differences btwn map narratives & material impacts & infrastructures.
Loving this interrogation of mapping at Glastonbury by Barbara Brayshay. Also love that #CHATmethod has featured more than one talk that touches on festival archaeology!
