Oh this is really a good experience for us in this talk - the first paper is about deaf participation in STEM. and the speakers are using sign language, and we are hearing from the sign language interpreters. Getting what is usually the reverse experience i guess. #chiwork22

@wendyju @CHIWORKsymp Wendy says she wants to start with acknowledging the Human Factors roots in HCI, but also that lots of people dont come to HCI from that origin. She's starting with an example from Gilbreth 1914 study of motion efficiency. #chiwork22
