🏆SNAKE EYES🏆Wins yesterday's matchup in our G.I. Joe Face-Off!

Once again we agree brother.
Inwas aging out around this time but I loved this design. The commando goggles and chest rig with all them pockets breaks of Commando.
The #Classifed version is ridiculously awesome. Just nails all of this.
Another banger my dude.
From my Collection, complete, 1991 Snake Eyes v.3. Snake Eyes came with a red machine gun, 2 red swords, a blue backpack with spring-loaded grappling hook launcher (actually fired), a red grappling hook with black string to attach to the backpack, and a black figure stannd.
1991 Snakes v.3 is my personal favorite, I had him as a kid. The first and only Snake Eyes figure I hd ever seen in the stores. Needless to say I was excited, especially since I had birthday money burning holes in my pocket. Nostalgia aside, this is in my opinion the best design of Snake Eyes. Even better than the iconic 86 or even the original 82 versions.
While the colors are loud, and the gear, is oversized, neon ridiculousness. The design of the figure is the perfect mix of commando and ninja. Hasbro took that design and drastically improved upond it in their classified line of G.i. Joe. Snake Eyes was always the mysterious commando on the team who was also skilled as a ninja. But at some point Hasbro pushed the ninja side of the character ignoring the commando aspect. 1991 Snake Eyes looks like an attempt at correcting that mistake and in my opinion they found a good balance.
I know many would disagree with my views on 90s Joes as a whole, especially Snake Eyes. But at the end of the day, I don't care. I respect everyones opinions but I'm not going to argue with anyone over them, after all, there only toys. 91 Snake Eyes is my personal favorite version of the character and I give him a solid 9/10 only because Hasbro could have done better with color choices and weapon design. #GIJoe #GIJoeNation #ARAH #YOJOE #3DJoes #VintageToys #80sToys #actionfigures #GIJoeCollecting #ToyCollecting #toyphotography #OneJoeADay

This would make an awesome #Classifed. Great info on the names my brother, iam always learning something and loving rhe pics on your Joe A Day! Great work my dude
From my Collection, complete, 1991 General Hawk v.1. General Hawk came with a gold helmet with a removable clear visor, a dark gray machine gun, a dark gray jet pack (with movable wings that folded out), and gold missiles.
Why this version of General Hawk is consider v.1 and 86 version wasn't called General Hawk makes no sense, considering he is wearing his Generals outfit as he did in the comics and even in the cartoon. But 1991 is the first year, the new version of Hawk was called General Hawk. I never had him as a kid, but I definitely wanted him. I always liked his jet pack and his machine gun. Love the weapon design and the jetpack is just the coolest looking thing.
You can actualy see in the background a blurred character that looks like this version of General Hawk using the jetpack on the packaging of the Classified version of General Hawk. But as of the time of this post, Hasbro has not announced or released a 91 version of General Hawk with his jetpack in classified.
Overall this is a cool character and as I said before his gear is very cool and makes it a big seller for me. Worth adding to any Joe collection. #GIJoe #GIJoeNation #ARAH #YOJOE #3DJoes #VintageToys #80sToys #actionfigures #GIJoeCollecting #ToyCollecting #toyphotography #OneJoeADay

#Classifed would CRUSH this bad boy.
Top 5 most wanted figure to hit the #Classifed line!
The Iron Grenadiers need to fill out the ranks and a heavy gunner would really be an on-the-money selection.
The helmet, the chest rig, to the fight side shoulder slab and MASSIVE Backpack fes heavy gun, this is SO AWESOME!!

Iron Grenadier awesomeness come cracking in with some underwater action! This figure was cool as hell and iam praying we get a #Classifed
Great write up brother, I love the run down..
From my collection, complete, 1990 Undertow v.1. Undertow came with a gray mask, a black harpoon, a dark gray sled, a red missile (that attached to the underside of the sled), two gray flippers, a black hose, and a silver barracuda.
First off, I have always liked the Undertow figure, great design, and look. I had him as a kid and really enjoyed having him go up against Wet Suit and Deep Six. However, as much as I like the figure, I wish Hasbro used a different color combination on the figure. It's not bad, but the red green makes me think of Christmas colors, and it just messes me up.
Still, in spite of the Christmas theme he has going on, 1990 Undertow is a great figure, and the last Iron Grenadier made for the sub-line.

Top 5 favorite figure for me, one of the later years Diamonds!
A top notch selection of accessories that are unique to him, and I CANNOT wait for the #Classifed, its my #2 most wanted in fact..
Excellent write up brother, you highkigjt the best of him with words and pics!
From my collection, complete, 1990 Salvo v.1. Salvo came with a brown helmet, a brown missile backpack, a brown mine launcher, a black cache, five brown missiles, and five brown mines.
1990 Salvo was one of those characters basically used as a hulk like figure when I was a kid. Big and strong, able to take on a dozen Cobra Vipers on his own. Which I think is how he is meant to be portrayed. The card art alone makes the guy look huge, and the amount of weapons/munitions he carries, shoot. He has to be strong as an ox.
Salvo is a great figure, very well designed. I hope hasbro makes a classified version of the character, I think that would be epic looking. Salvo is a solid figure and cool character who should have got more action in the comics, again referred to the comics. Avoid the Dic. Series to get any idea of what the character is like or come up with your own head cannon. Salvo is definitely worth having in any G.i. Joe collection.

When I was young, I didnt see this figure in person until I was aging out, and it looked to crazy for me
But, the #Classifed, now THAT'S a killer figure. I wish they weren't $75 a piece now because id be getting a bunch.
Excellent write up and this figure looks sweet brother!!
From my collection, complete, 1990 Range-Vìper v.1. Range-Viper came with a black grenade launcher (with a removable black chamber), a dark gray backpack, a black knife, a black hose, a gray missile launcher, and a gray missile.
I never had the Range-Viper growing up, I like the look of the figures' design and the idea of the character. But I'm not a big fan of the color choices. The filecard describes them in a similar way to Desert Scorpions. On their own, out in the bush, surviving on whatever they can find, behind enemy lines, cut off from supplies. Seems like they shoùld have a color scheme more suited to a figure who is outside, in a natural environment. The blue is too artificial, and a Range-Viper would stick out like a sore thumb.
Perhaps more tans, light browns, some green. Hasbros Classified Grim-Viper (Repainted Range-Viper) has a better color pallet for the figure, in my opinion. Still, in spite of the blue, Range-Viper is a good figure and worth adding to any 90s collection. #GIJoe #GIJoeNation #ARAH #YOJOE #3DJoes #VintageToys #80sToys #actionfigures #GIJoeCollecting #ToyCollecting #toyphotography #OneJoeADay

Excellent run down of the character in the cartoon and its variant figures. Top.Notch reporting and write up my brother.
The #Classifed is so damn good. His chest rig with ne lck protector is awesome.
From my collection, complete, 1990 Metal Head v.1. Metal-Head came with a light gray helmet, a light gray backpack with frame, a light gray missile launcher (that attached to the backpack frame, making it his backpack), a light gray pistol, two light gray leg missile packs, six yellow missiles, and two black hoses.
Note from https://t.co/0nlgwhK5JI states there are variations to be aware of. There are two versions of Metal-Head. On one, the pegs on his legs are thin and narrow and extremely fragile. On the other version, the pegs on his legs are thicker, along with the different sized holes in Metal-Head's missile launchers that reflect the differently sized pegs.
The first time I saw Metal-Head, a friend of mine had him. In fact, several of the Joe's I got in 1990 were because Justin had them first and I wanted the same figure, so I went looking for it every time my mom took me to the store. I did watch the Dic. version of G.i. Joe. So, I was familiar with the character, but It wasn't till years later that I saw Metal-Head in action in issues 114 and briefly again in issue 115 of the Marvel comics run.
While I normally suggest avoiding using the Dic. animated series to build a character profile. One aspect I do like about how they portray him in the cartoon is that the guy was nuts. He got way too excited over blowing stuff up to the point that even a kid could tell that he was mentally unhealthy. That, plus the fact I like to think of him as the commander of Destros armor division, just makes him a really cool and wild character.
One other thing I have to give credit to the animators of Dic. for is getting his head to look right. The comics, the card art, even the horribly made Dic. cartoon got Metal-Head to look right. But the designers at hasbro seemed to have struggled a little with the characters' design.
Specifically the shape of his head and face. Take off his visor so we can see his eyes, and he would look like my school prinicple. Slicked back hair, stiff, no personality, and way too serious. A far cry from the character portraid in the comics, cartoon and even the card art. 1994 v2. Metal Head has a much better face and head design. If they had just used that head and face sculped, with his original visor, the figure would be perfect. The shape of his head when where his helmet makes me want to call him Bullet-Head instead. His head seems to be mishappend, almost as if his head was designed so he could wear the weird helmet which you never see him wear in the comics, cartoon , or card art.
If memory service me correctly, though, I believe the pre-production art did have him wearing a helmet, but still. They could have done a better job, Hasbro had a long history of doing a better job before 1990. Overall, Metal-Head is a very cool character who got a much better figure and a more appropriate looking head sculpt in Hasbros classified line of G.i. Joe. Heck, they even gave him a cool looking helmet that doesn't look like a bullet on his head.
Overall, I give 1990 Metal-Head a 8/9, a figure worth adding to your collection, especially if you're collecting all of Destroys Iron Grenadiers. just be very careful with those leg pegs. #GIJoe #GIJoeNation #ARAH #YOJOE #3DJoes #VintageToys #80sToys #actionfigures #GIJoeCollecting #ToyCollecting #toyphotography #OneJoeADay

One of my most wanted in Classified, this a super cool ass figure. Excellent write up brother, the briefcase and collapsing weapon are just awesome. Sculpt and colors are also so freaking cool. NEED for #Classifed
From my collection, complete, 1990 Bullhorn v.1. Bullhorn came with a black and silver gas mask, a black rifle, a green bullhorn (which doubled as a gas gun, but don'task me how), a three-piece rifle with scope (that could come apart), and a gray backpack case (that held the rifle).
I had Bullhorn as a kid. The coolest thing about him was his rifle, which broke down into 3 pieces and stored in his backpack. The figure himself looks cool, but the way he is designed and the way his file card reads the figure never made much sense to me.
He looks like he is dressed for cold weather, similar to 91 Big Ben. So, my thinking is, the character should either be like Big Ben another S.A.S. soldier who is dressed for operations in a similar Erupean environment as Big Ben. Or his character and his color scheme should have been changed to be another article soldier. His file card makes him sound like it should have been designed more like Shockwave v.1 or even Chuckles. More weekend casual than military operative.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it. In spite of my confusion, I think he's a great looking figure. I think if I were to change anything about the character, I would make him another Arctic soldier and change the colors to reflect that. 1990 Bullhorn is definitely worth adding to any Joe collection. Assuming you're willing to give 90s Joes chance. #GIJoe #GIJoeNation #ARAH #YOJOE #3DJoes #VintageToys #80sToys #actionfigures #GIJoeCollecting #ToyCollecting #toyphotography #OneJoeADay

I think it represents The Sarge himself as well, Big, strong and an unmatched motor plowing forward face first into the fangs of Cobra. I cant wait to see what the #Classifed edition. We need moving treads on this for sure. Love it my brother.
Check out Sergeant Slaughter's Triple T! This chunky tank features machine guns, missiles, and massive treads, with the Sarge himself right in the center. A truly iconic G.I. Joe vehicle that Cobra would fear! #Gijoe #SgtSlaughter #ToyReview
