It’s pretty pathetic seeing the Liberal Party blaming the media for Labor owning their arse. Like really? The majority of Australia’s mainstream media is owned and controlled by conservative billionaires. That has always had an undeniable bias. They’re also blaming social media. They’re having a go at young people for not reading the news papers, and only turning to social media for their news. This is the problem for the Liberal Party. They can’t censor social media where anyone can have a voice, and advocate for what they want to advocate for. Anyone can have a voice, or go to the source to find what’s actually going on when politicians make policy announcements. Instead of hearing a version of that policy announcement from a Murdoch tabloid that is always negative and lacks context. This is why so many journalists in mainstream media would lose their shit at how well Dan would get the message out through social media. Because there is no way any of us could rely on their partisan bullshit, and often radio silence on what Dan’s government was achieving. So we’d go to the source, and it would be there, and then we’d know. Dan did it so very well. And that used to shit mainstream media. Now in 2025, where Gen Z and millennials played such a big part in Labors victory, and that generation gets their news online, the Liberal Party can’t deal. Because those generations aren’t relying on the 6 o’clock news, talkback radio or the tabloids to find out what’s going on. That’s the boomer generation. Traditional media’s bias worked for Howard and Abbott, now Australia’s partisan media isn’t as powerful as it once was, so the Liberal Party doesn’t know where to go from here. Probably because they’re a party that doesn’t really do anything. So now they’re going to have to actually do some work to appeal to modern Australia. I won’t hold my breath. #auspol #ausvotes
