So brilliant to see Austin and his mum Justine on TV this week! Austin has been a passionate campaigner for #ClearFaceMasks and has done a wonderful job of explaining just how isolating face masks can be for #deaf people.
After being diagnosed as severe to profoundly deaf when he was three years old, 12-year-old Austin relies on lip-reading to communicate. He joins us today to explain the importance of see-through masks or visors among the deaf community. #ThisMorning
