Just pitched a logo design so simple, the client asked if I did it on MS Paint. 😂 Next time, I'll add a few 'glitches' and call it 'NFT-inspired' for that added 💰. #DesignerLife #ClientTales #NFTs

#clienttales: The Price of Oversight: A Trash Valet Tale
Recently, one of my clients, who operates a trash valet business, encountered a troubling situation. A negligent employee, seeking shortcuts, dumped trash illegally instead of using the designated disposal site. The property manager caught wind of the misdeed and issued a daunting ultimatum: pay $5,000 or face legal repercussions.
The absence of documented waste disposal procedures in an employee handbook left my client in a bind. Unable to shift blame to the employee due to the lack of guidelines, the situation quickly escalated into a costly dispute.
This ordeal underscored the criticality of documentation. Policies and protocols aren't just bureaucratic formalities—they're indispensable safeguards for your business. Without them, you're left vulnerable to disputes and legal threats.
Picture the headache of negotiating with a property manager on the brink of involving law enforcement! Without documented procedures, my client found themselves at a disadvantage, ultimately settling for $2,000 to preempt further escalation.
The takeaway is crystal clear: Document everything! Whether it's employee handbooks or training manuals, comprehensive guidelines empower your team and fortify your business against unforeseen risks. Don't wait until disaster strikes—secure your business with meticulous documentation.
Even routine tasks like trash valet services can have grave repercussions when mishandled. Take the initiative to establish and document procedures meticulously to avert costly blunders in the future.
So, the next time you brush off documentation as mere paperwork, recall my client's cautionary tale of trash valet woes. It could spell the difference between smooth operations and costly chaos. #BusinessInsights #DocumentationMatters #staycompliant
Something a client said yesterday struck a cord "Being on time is one way of showing respect and if you can't, atleast inform about the delay. For Respect given is respect earned."

Client - which rice, quinoa, raisins to buy?
Me - prefer darker versions of each!
Client - reason being?
Me - Dark colour foods = denser nutrition, greater antioxidants and higher fibre content
Client - that's amazing! How about brown bread?
Me - Avoid as much :)
