Don’t cut between two very similar shots of the same thing, unless you really want a ‘jump cut’ for effect. #collinediting

Little tip: Nobody wants to watch somebody walk all the way across a room, climb an entire flight of stairs or eat an entire meal. Cut between various camera angles to compress time and get the action done more quickly. #collinediting

Lighting is key while filming, don't just rely on adding or fixing lighting in post, doesn't come out as well as having good lighting to begin with. #collinediting

And so the editing begins. Also, bought some lavalier mics to get some better audio, hopefully it will make syncing audio easier than what I was doing last week. #collinediting

I saw Alita Battle Angel yesterday and I enjoyed it more than anticipated. However the movie had some horrifying implications within the universe #collinediting

To receive footage that has been shot with editing in mind, it is a blessing. #collinediting

Not gonna lie, bird box was not that good of a film. There were some awkward/unnecessary scenes and a good amount of cliches. But hey that's just my opinion. 🤷🏽‍♂️ #collinediting

I know politics are insane right now and it’s hard to think or talk about anything else, but I need my grade. I loved The Haunting of Hill House, but now it’s time to move on to Sabrina. The pilot was great. #collinediting

Editing really does fully determine the outcome of a film. A talented editor can change the whole genre of the film if they want to. #collinediting

It’s difficult to find the balance between pushing myself to make better movies the more I learn/grow and knowing my limits to what is possible. Regardless, this semester will be very ambitious. #collinediting
