Rigveda is dated to at least 1500 BC by most conservative estimates of western Indologists. Others date it to 5000 BC. Rigveda describes Punjab rivers. Vedic literature refers to this land as "Brahmavarta" & is considered very sacred land. That is how old Hinduism is in Punjab
