My students #COMM470 #InternationalPR were surprised by similarities betwn Ebola awareness campaigns in W. Africa and #COVID19 awareness campaigns in U.S. In both, culture, ideology, history, and economic precarity played a role in tackling or perpetuating a pandemic-epidemic

My #COMM470 @csuf (internationalPR) @commCSUF @csuf students will present their global campaign proposals on Thursday, May 9. Their plans focus on a diverse array of audiences ranging from the Middle East to Africa (including political elites in India).

Next semester, @commCSUF join me in my International PR #COMM470 course every Thursday 4-6:45 p.m. You will acquire skills to design global PR campaigns aiming at foreign publics. Also, you'll learn how international relations strengthen or constrain comms strategies.

Last Thursday, I got a blast in my International PR #COMM470 at @csuf . We learned about how geopolitical giants use strategic comms to influence global discussions. The next class is about regional powers, colonialism, and emergent economies.

Tomorrow, I will take my #COMM470 students on a trip around the world: #Africa, #Asia, #LatinAmerica and #Europe. What's the goal? Learning how to break down complex geopolitical situations into opportunities for action, especially for social justice. @commcsuf @csuf is global.
