During the current pandemic, we have seen a number of new organisations join #compassehub to take advantage of secure online networking from across the country including Lancashire, North Yorks, East Yorks and Manchester. We are fast approaching 250 organisations!
Happy to announce that #compassehub is supporting Age UK South Lakeland with a new initiative to support veterans during the COVID19 pandemic in partnership with #SSAFA. If you are aware of any veteran who needs any sort of support at all get them to contact us on 030 300 30003.
The need for support amongst people across South Lakeland continues. We are still getting about 70 calls a day. With the help of our volunteers and Volunteer Groups we are still able to help all of those who need it. Below is our running total since 23rd March 2020. #compassehub
Been another busy week supporting older people across South Lakeland. Age UK South Lakeland have taken another 350 calls asking for support, delivered shopping to 49 people, collected 28 prescriptions and provided 180 hearing aid batteries. #AgeUKSouthLakes #compassehub

Sort out the flow of money to the VCSE sector to stabilise the provision of support groups and interventions... Have a multisector funding pot and ensure clinical supervision for link workers...
Interested to see the update to the GP contract agreement today. Amendments made to make it easier to commission Third sector to deliver social prescriber roles. Third sector need to be recognised as equal partners and experts in this field so positive development. #compassehub

It was areal joy today to demonstrate #compassehub to @WestLancsCCG. They really understood the principles of the system and recognised it's value in delivering complete social prescribing and linking third sector and statutory bodies together. Hope to work together soon!
Got some really exciting activity coming up over the next week or so. Going over to West Cumbria to roll out Compass along West coast. Also got some great organisations signing up to the ehub to deliver complete social prescribing. Now at 104 and rising! #compassehub

How about this light-hearted look at the dangers of taking the traditional, simplistic view of #socialprescribing! There is a serious point here that we have the opportunity to re-define #socialprescribing working with the Third Sector as a partner not a provider. #compassehub
