Passengers being rowed out to SS 'Princess Louise' at #Connel Ferry during the vessel's first season of summer excursions in 1898. She was built in Glasgow in 1898 for Captain Alexander Paterson, a businessman and entrepreneur based in #Oban. He used her primarily for running day trips from the Railway Pier at Oban [photo: J. @PaulSuttonKing I dropped papers off at the shop on the right when they came up on train in the late 1970's. Sadly closed this year. A photo of similar vintage to the pc from MacSwan's days is in the window, visible on Streetview in Nov 2021. #Jordan #Stevenson #Connel #ConnelFerry #Oban
