देश के कानून मंत्री का कल संसद में दिया गया बयान कि संविधान की प्रस्तावना से ’सेक्युलरिज़्म’ (धर्मनिरपेक्षता) आदि शब्द हटाने सम्बंधी सरकार की ना कोई नीयत है और ना ही ऐसा कुछ विचाराधीन है, यह उचित एवं सराहनीय है तथा ख़ासकर हमारी पार्टी बी.एस.पी. सहित देश व दुनिया भर में उन सभी लोगों के लिए राहत की ख़बर है व अच्छा आश्वासन है जो परमपूज्य बाबा साहेब डा. भीमराव अम्बेडकर के संविधान में इस प्रकार के किसी भी अनुचित बदलाव या छेड़छाड़ के पूरी तरह विरुद्ध हैं तथा ऐसी उठने वाली ग़लत माँग को लेकर चिन्तित भी थे। वैसे भी यह सर्वविदित है कि अपना भारत देश हिन्दू, मुस्लिम, सिख, ईसाई, बौद्ध व पारसी आदि विभिन्न धर्मों के मानने वाले लोगों का विश्व की सबसे बड़ी आबादी वाला देश है तथा संविधान के ज़रिए विविधता में एकता की विशेषता इसकी बेमिसाल पहचान दुनिया भर में है। सभी धर्मों के मानने वाले लोगों को एक समान आदर-सम्मान देने व समतामूलक समाज व्यवस्था आदि की सोच को लेकर ही बाबा साहेब डा. भीमराव अम्बेडकर ने संविधान रचा और जिसकी झलक संविधान में हर कदम पर मिलती है। केन्द्र सरकार ने संविधान को लेकर ताज़ा विवाद के सम्बंध में संविधान की पवित्र मंशा के हिसाब से अपनी स्थिति स्पष्ट की है, यह अच्छी बात है तथा सरकार बिना किसी की परवाह व चिन्ता किये हुए अपने इस स्टैण्ड पर कायम रहेगी, ऐसी देश की चाहत व उम्मीद भी है।
