This is not a binary choice between improved regulation and profits - traceability will help feed profits in the fishing sector. It is important to establish a consensus amongst corporations that this investment is profitable ahead of #ControlRegulation discussions.

The revision of the #EU fisheries #ControlRegulation is the opportunity to ensure full #digitalisation of the #traceability system for all #fish & #seafood EU-caught or imported, wild capture or aquaculture. This will ensure catches are traceable from net to plate. 📜🚫▶️ 🎣 💻

We already have a pretty high standard for these products in the EU but control and traceability is complex. We have to improve the system and digitalisation can help us with that. #ControlRegulation
