- This piece is of a genre that is an off-shoot of the #CryingVideo genre. The #CryingOverWork genre is typically a main character publicly crying over a work challenge or disappointment that is already common to millions of people.
- The genre misses due to the unremarkable nature of the presented "challenge." In this case, it is a typical "charge-back." Goods purchased by a store are being returned for a refund. This may happen at any point after the order is placed, including as late as post-sale season. If the vendor wants to continue three relationship with the store, deals can often be made, like offering discounts for future shipments if only half of the "charge-back" volume is returned.
- The introduction of the dog compounds this "common issue" miss. He is cued to enter frame to comfort the character, and yet the viewers' knowledge of charge-backs mutes the intended sympathy drama.
- More backstory on the main character would help the audience to engage more thoroughly with the piece.
- Resilience is a better thematic attraction for your piece than "victim positions." The audience doesn't want to know that a character running a marathon is hot and tired; they want to see that in spite of the heat and fatigue, the character is determined to finish that race. Fin.
@JustineBateman I often wonder the same thing - turning your camera on while crying could be an impulse and maybe some of these are streamed live but I think a lot of them are very premeditated.
