Sure, besides doing the latest fixes and testing for Spica release, we have been working hard on preparing the finality upgrade as well. The first stage of finality improvement, or what will go into Andromeda release, is currently in stabilization and bug fixing stage. We have been also doing some refactoring to reduce the complexity and to make sure we simplify the logic and remove potential edge cases. This first finality release removes the possibility of forking and the need for confirmation blocks. Because of this, Andromeda brings single block finality to all transactions on MultiversX, since reverts will basically no longer be possible or needed. So it is correct to say that it more than doubles the finalization speed for transactions. Other changes that we have included here were the fixed ordering in consensus groups, which shortens the cross chain consensus proofs (for bridges and interoperability with other chains including the sovereign chains). We have also improved the propagation of blocks from shards to metachain and from metachain to shards. This is done now at the beginning of the round instead of at the end after consensus was reached and is in preparation for the second stage where we plan to reduce the block time from 6s to 600ms. For the second finality improvement stage which is planned to go with Supernova release, we still have several things to implement for the execution model change, which we will start working on as soon as we have Andromeda stabilized. Btw, as previously mentioned, now we no longer require parallel processing to be implemented before going forth with Supernova, but we have worked hard on that as well and we have a working PoC.
