I really wanted to add some kind of night mode to the editor, and the combination of point lights, simple ambient lighting, and god rays did the trick. I think it's a nice feature to have in a 2D editor, as it gives you an extra feeling of depth #indiedev #DnD #TTRPGs #deios

One more small and fun tool: Prop Brush. It's a bit more sophisticated than it appears; it actually detects landmasses, different paths, other props, and can maintain prop density #indiedev #DnD #TTRPGs #deios

Prop brush tool. You can select multiple props, brush over the road network, and it will place them in the right spots. Of course, there are more controls, like distance, road offset, overlap, etc #gamedev #DnD #TTRPGs #deios

A directional texture painting brush. Decided to write custom triangulation code for it "cause it'll be faster and better" (famous last words). Ended up fixing it once a month for 8 months, but the results are pretty nice #gamedev #DnD #TTRPGs #deios
