Lamotrigine can result in the development of Stevens Johnson Syndrome. This is an adverse reaction and *not due to toxicity* (ie not related to high serum levels). It is more common in the early phase of starting this medication, typically within the first 60 days. #DermPearls
@BradSpellberg Omg. Yes. It’s a zebra. But venous stasis dermatitis and lipodermatosclerosis is real - but doesn’t need oral or IV abx! Please teach patients how to pump their ankles, use a good quality moisturizer daily or BID and a short course of potent topical steroids. #dermPearls

Another tricky one: this is an amelanotic melanoma! Making up ~5% of melanomas, these tumors can be nondescript clinically. Some have suggested adding the '3 Rs' (Red, Raised, Recent change) to the usual ABCDE melanoma warning signs to help screen for them. #dermpearls
