They are working on making reconnect after a network disruption better. FM17 now notifies on a per-file basis, rather than closing everything. #DeveloperPanel #FileMakerDevCon #FileMakerDevCon18

ExecuteSQL best practices: Commit before SQL. FM calc engine is also slowed down with uncommitted records, not just ExecuteSQL. Just usually not as evident, because the data set is typically smaller. #DeveloperPanel #FileMakerDevCon #FileMakerDevCon18

ExecuteSQL best practices: It's not pure SQL. It is done on the client. 2nd time is faster, because caching. We might not talk to the server at all the 2nd time. #DeveloperPanel #FileMakerDevCon #FileMakerDevCon18
