More than one in four of us just said it out loud.
26.4% of scuba diving instructors admitted they have cut corners while teaching. Recreational instructors hit 31%. Tech instructors were lower at 19%.
And 63% of active instructors rate entry-level course quality as low or very low.
Time and the need to stay profitable keep showing up as the main drivers. Most of us still feel personally ready. The system is what creates the drift.
The things that help most: reviewing standards, asking colleagues for honest feedback, co-teaching, having a mentor.
