£1.5 billion #DolphinTrust aka #GermanPropertyGroup (#GPG) loan note/mini-bond/SIPP/pension scheme scandal affecting up to 25,000 investors: honcho ‘Charles Smethurst’ convicted in a German court.
After years of investigation in Germany, the whereabouts of €800 million remain unclear. Of a total of €1.3 billion in incoming payments to German shell/operating companies, the liquidator was only able to clarify the whereabouts of approximately €360 million. The whereabouts of approximately €800 million “is either unidentifiable or suspicious”, according to the liquidator. ‘Charles Smethurst’ himself did not disclose the whereabouts of the money in court.
The scandal may have purported to invest in German property, however at its heart were vast numbers of UK/Irish victims and large upfront UK sales commissions allegedly paid to the ‘usual suspects’ to snag victims (wether vctims knew about it or not).
Deals were allegedly cut with UK Pension scheme scandals to dump #GPG loan notes in them; #GPG loan notes/bonds were allegedly dumped in the UK’s infamous SIPPshittery via unauthorised pension transfer ops/SIPP operators (the usual suspects) & #FCA IFA’s & DFMs (the usual suspects); UK banks & Emoney ops were allegedly involved.
As usual Blinky (@theFCA) was asleep at the wheel, and immediately took up its de rigueur ‘Ostrich position’. UK law enforcement likewise has been conspicuous by their lack of any kind of action.
