@GeneInvesting I doubt #FDA is not capable of looking at this this way - old days #FDA is gone - $NTLA HOLD situation has much bigger chance of lifting, unless root cause the #CRISPR platform and they take the 2020 #NobelPrize back from #Charpentier and #Doudna - $XBI $IBB $EDIT $CRSP $arkG

CRISPR: The Bacteria-Powered Tool Revolutionizing DNA Editing
In 1987, a discovery revealed that bacteria incorporate viral #DNA into their own, a mystery that led scientists Jennifer #Doudna and Emmanuelle #Charpentier to develop #CRISPR—a programmable tool that can edit any DNA sequence with unprecedented precision, transforming the future of genetic science.
@GamalielBaer @BiotechAnalysst @EricTopol @SangamoTx That #CRISPR goddess #Doudna doesn't mention #ZFP and therefore @SangamoTx - no surprise. More shocking than ignoring $SGMO was not mention @chromamedicine! She discussed the #epigenetic work of Chroma founders @davidrliu & Angelo Lombardo wich used #zincfingers as the key tool

Deal with failure! Find supportive mentors!😊

"People that I’ve had the pleasure to work with in my laboratory, the most successful of them are people who are able to deal with their fears. We all have fears but sometimes you try something and there is failure, right? You have to deal with that.
[...] I just think you have to embrace your passions. You have to really go for it. People that have been less successful in my opinion, are those that dabble in something, but then don’t really give it their all. They almost never give themselves a chance to succeed, as they back off too soon. I think for young people, I tell them go for it, find supportive mentors who will help you through the tough times, and then just keep going. Because if you have a good idea, it’s probably going to work out in some way. You may not be able to predict how, but you should just keep pursuing it."
"The most important advice is to go for it. That means to embrace your interests, your passions, and really give it your all."
Advice from our 2020 chemistry laureate Jennifer Doudna who shared the prize "for the development of a method for genome editing."
