@OceanaEurope They invoke @CITES to raise the drama, but the core issue is national/EU compliance + traceability (false declarations, off-book sales, diversion). That’s not “certification solved it” — that’s law enforcement caught it. #Compliance #EelTrade @Europol
@ICESmarine @CITES @EU_MARE Delegates are needed data, not drama.
SEG: publish methods, disclose funding, stop playing minister without portfolio. #Accountability #EelTrade @ISEALalliance @EU_ENV @OceanaEurope

Does that mean the other 42% of their trade is illegally sourced and sold — while still being covered by SEG’s certification?
Because this pattern has gone on for years and must be terminated.

Scan QR #2 for the "end-to-end chain of custody": UK export → customs import → 30-day quarantine → health checks/headcount → field release. Every movement is logged by state vets in real time. No re-export. No aquaculture diversion. #Accountability #EelTrade @D@DefraGovUKfraGovUK @elverdave

Mercury vs Europe:
✅ Mercury is transparent & effective.
❌ Many European SEG-certified farms operate with no monitoring. Millions of eels go missing while smugglers profit. #EelTrade

Situation in Russia clause:
Defra cites geopolitical concerns.
❓ Yet Mercury shows full traceability & audits. Why not sufficient? #Russia #EelTrade

Andrew Kerr should have no influence or involvement in the fishery until he comes clean about SEG’s ISEAL suspension.
Why the hiding? Why the silence? What’s he hiding?
He can publicly attack Kaliningrad yet hides his own failures.

SEGs Serious Jeopardy.

🚨💥 SHOCKING: The Sustainable Eel Group (@SustainableEel) — supposedly the “gold standard” for European eel — is SUSPENDED by ISEAL (@ISEALalliance). Dutch eel supply chains are in serious jeopardy. #EelTrade #Scandal

“Farmed” eels are not the solution.
Nearly all farms rely on wild-caught juveniles (glass eels).
So “farmed” = wild-depleted.
SEG certifies this system. That’s not conservation — that’s laundering.

Retweet if you think sustainability certifications should be transparent
🔍 Ask @ISEALalliance & @SustainableEel why this suspension isn’t public
We deserve honest systems—not green cover.

EU’s CITES “zero quota” blocks live eel exports… unless you’re Morocco. SEG’s certification turns that loophole into an Asian supply line — while smearing Baltic restocking. Follow the money. #eeltrade #sustainability

If you control access to a billion-euro industry, you owe the public full transparency — financial, operational, and ethical. Anything less undermines trust.
