The Pan-African Youth Impact Bootcamp 2026 is a six-week fellowship bringing together ambitious young Africans from across the continent to connect with people, ideas, opportunities, and experiences that can help shape Africa’s future.
If you are a young African passionate about leadership, innovation, community development, entrepreneurship, or creating solutions to real problems, this could be an opportunity worth exploring.
Who can apply?
Young Africans aged 18–35 who are passionate about creating impact and ready to commit to the full programme.

We invite you to join the conversation for the #LivingTheManifesto challenge, showcasing African-led initiatives and decolonial storytelling that drive transformative change in Africa's evidence ecosystem.
This campaign highlights diverse epistemologies and the power of storytelling in enhancing evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) capacity.
Through this challenge, we created impactful outputs, including multimedia stories and a YouTube playlist featuring lived experiences, and strengthened relationships among our members.
These outputs demonstrate the #AENManifesto's principles and the effectiveness of storytelling as a decolonial methodology.

Building the Foundations for Evidence-Informed Decision-Making in South Africa: Following the successful HTA Symposium, stakeholders gathered in Kempton Park today for an interactive workshop on National Standards for Evidence Informed Decision Making #EIDM

The #Evidence2025 event in Cotonou, Benin, brought together over 350 delegates from 40 African countries to advance evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM).
The event focused on themes like navigating #EIDM use cases, knowledge translation, and youth leadership.
Key highlights included:
- Africa Evidence Leadership Awards.
- Presentation of the @AfricaAEYL Manifesto by the Youth Chair @PenkaBogne.
- Discussions on valuing evidence differently, with a focus on gender, youth, and equity.
The event emphasised the importance of:
- Effective knowledge translation.
- Youth leadership and empowerment.
- Collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Citizen engagement and power dynamics.

#Evidence must drive decision making on this continent; it mustn’t be business and politics as usual. We must move from the struggle for legitimacy as a continent, to sovereignty.

1. Let’s listen across silos (policymakers to researchers, researchers to subject)
