I just love this 🙌 one meaningful moment.. ‘mama’ ‘sick’ ‘medicine’ a couple of days ago on her #AAC communication device. Snuggles on the couch then was followed up swiftly. But it was a first for ‘medicine’ #expandinglanguage #modeling #meaningful #nonspeaking #happytobeheard

I’ve been failing all week to find the right words when asking people to try to record AAC use, not in a snapshot, directed activity, but in “meaningful”, “real life” or “spontaneous” instances. The word finally occurred to me - AUTHENTIC
