@HockeyAlberta promoting the @NHL but the 4 new hires have 6 years combined of officiating!! WHAT A JOKE! Hard to be motivated as a young official or the vets that have worked Mem Cups, Olympics, World Jr’s and not getting hired! #kimmelskids #explayerpush

@MWhalen1907 @walsha @ScoutingTheRefs @NHL I know of 4 current CHL officials under 35 who have worked in the AHL, World Championships, Olympics and World Juniors with 10-15 years CHL experience. All of them would jump at the opportunity to work the @NHL It’s a political old boys club #kimmelskids #explayerpush

@walsha @ScoutingTheRefs Here is a great reason why the officiating isn’t improving…..2 years MAYBE of windshield time officiating, now working the @NHL There are CHL officials working Olympics with 15+ years of experience who aren’t getting looked at! #betteroptions #kimmelskids #explayerpush

Another hire with LOADS of experience....playing. Making all elite officials sour and wondering why they are busting their balls for their respective leagues! No loyalty by the AHL & NHLOA to the boys that deserve it! #kimmelskids #explayerpush

@HUSE59 All of us in the know are NOT shocked seeing Dan get his shot, he has a solid resume as a player! I mean a guy like Vanny for example with a Mem Cup, Wrld JR, Wrld Champs & Olympics doesn’t deserve a shot, can’t find him on HockeyDB so can’t hire him! #Kimmelskids #explayerpush

IMO, as a past official a Gold Medal game should be earned, not given. 10+ years officiating in the CHL, Memorial Cup all in the stands watching. 2 yrs combined officiating experience on the ice instead! Hope it doesn’t hurt the game. #kimmelskids #explayerpush #earnednotgiven
