We want to take the work done so far even further & improve current #FGMsafeguarding policies. Our communities deserve better- we must create a system that protects & supports women & girls from #FGM whilst enabling a supportive & safe environment free of stigma, fear or distress
Most importantly, a community-centric approach must be integrated into all FGM prevention efforts - recognising the role that communities themselves play in ending FGM practices, and engaging them fully in design and action of #FGMsafeguarding policies
