If you use a gun and murder a child or innocent, and we have the evidence, we are charging the gun enhancement allegation to deter gun violence. I will not waiver on that. Unlike Gascon, individuals who commit heinous crimes, when we have the evidence, we should charge enhancements and allegations and those individuals should go to prison for longer. Period. The elected DA needs to ensure public safety. I will not be shamed or quieted by Gascón or his supporters for wanting to protect children and our communities. That has nothing to do with race or politics. It has to do with our right to safety.
