After the hearing, Smith was arrested and charged. Circuit Court Judge Calvin Taylor set Smith’s bond at $50,000 for each charge, bringing the total to $100,000. Olivia Marie Crosetti-Smith is charged with sexual battery and enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes. Smith previously won teacher of the year in 2022 at Ocean Springs Middle School. OSPD immediately launched an investigation and OSSD began conducting an internal investigation into the allegations. OSSD has been working closely with law enforcement throughout the investigation.
