At the end of Mass, Sr Orianne & I had a chance to share words of gratitude with those who helped us follow our vocations. After the Mass, we got hugs from EVERYONE. I definitely cried.
#FirstVows highlights: after the homily, we professed our vows before the Tabernacle, dedicating our lives to Jesus through poverty, chastity, & obedience.
We then received the constitutions of our congregation & the emblem worn by all Daughters of St Paul worldwide.
#FirstVows Highlights: after the Gospel our formator went to the mic & called us by our religious names in the name of the Church. We answered “Here I am.” This was the 1st time anyone heard our names. From now on, we’re known as Sr Allison Regina & Sr Orianne Pietra René.
#FirstVows Highlights:
In the opening procession, Sr Orianne & I carried candles that symbolized the light of our baptism (our 1st consecration to God). We placed them at the foot of the Blessed Mother & they remained lit the whole Mass.
Over the next few days I’ll be sharing highlights from #FirstVows bc there was WAY too much grace to fit in 1 tweet.
It started with Sr. Orianne & I sneaking to the back of chapel from the outside so that no one would see us in our habits until the Mass. My parents came out…1/2
We have another big weekend ahead! On Saturday, Sr. Justine Reina Praxedes (left) will profess her first vows as an Apostle. Please pray for Sr. Reina as she prepares for this next chapter! #ApostleFire #GodStillCalls #FirstVows

Regina is Latin for Queen. It’s a title for the Blessed Mother & my own mom’s name. But I primarily chose it because of my relationship with Jesus, the merciful, Crucified King… 1/2
