Our researchers @ClaudiaGrossi4 and @rcurcoll participated in this new study of the @ICTA_UAB where #radontracer observations form @ETSEIB_UPC station and the atmospheric model #flexpart were used, among others meas., to understand urban emissions due to land use!!

I now have #FLEXPART running with five days of @ECMWF #ERA5 data and have checked that the slew of warning messages are normal. Definitely completed that level of the game. Next level requires some actual science.

OMG I have at long last got #FLEXPART (https://t.co/CAWn7cfWUX) to run using @ECMWF data as input. A zillion times harder than using NCEP GFS data for some reason. Feels like I got to the end of a difficult level of a computer game and beat the boss enemy.

@TROPOS_eu @MOSAiCArctic @AWI_Media @BMBF_Bund @ACTRISRI An updated version also includes the satellite detected wild fires (red pixels). Animation is based on #flexpart simulations. The land surface classes are savanna/shrubland (beige), forest (dark green), grass/cropland (light green) and barren (brown).
