Workers at #FMFCS are making great progress this month installing the new plate cladding on the ship’s hull, with big changes obvious even since last week. Bravo Zulu! First two photos courtesy of our CO, Gary Reddy. @CDNShipbuilders @RLitwiller @FMF_CS #RCNavy

How do you clad a ship? #FMFCS staff start by bending a plate, which is then hoisted into place. It is further shimmed to take the shape of the hull before being tack welded in place - when ready, it is welded all around & plug-welded in the centre. @CDNShipbuilders @RLitwiller
