Critical Incident Report– At about 10 p.m. last night, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a shooting at a Chick-fil-A parking lot near Florida State's campus. The shooting unfolded while the restaurant, normally open at that hour, was closed for Sunday; no employees or customers were present. Hours later, officers were still present at the scene blocking the entrances, which were cordoned off by crime scene tape. No statement or press release has been issued to the public by TPD, but officers responded to a report of an individual arriving at Tallahassee Memorial with a gunshot wound shortly after the shooting, suggesting that one person was injured in the gunfire. Updates will be provided if they are made available. Tallahassee has now seen at least 28 shootings this year.
