This week's gem gallery highlight is Mandarin Garnet. The mandarin garnet is a relatively recent discovery, first identified in the 1990s! 🍊✨ #mandaringarnet #garnet #gemstone #orange #glow #jewelry #naturalbeauty #unique #gemfact

Last, but certainly not least... #GEMFACT: Readers actually learned the key idea of how this story will end before Chapter 20.

#GEMFACT: Many parts of this story -- many very significant parts of this story -- turned out entirely differently than I had originally planned. I am proud that I was able to throw the initial ideas away.

#GEMFACT: I am not sure if I've already admitted this, but I gave a little shout-out to myself by making Audrey ambidextrous, as I am. It's very subtle, but now you might not unsee it in the writing.

How about a #GEMFACT or five to get everyone a little excited for the next chapter? I won't get too specific on the chapters because of everything that's about to transpire...

Last but not least, #GEMFACT: There 's still a minimum of 5 deaths left to deal with in this story.

#GEMFACT: The ultimate ending will deal with a lot of "parallel" storylines. I'm very excited about it, but I don't think I should say too much more.

#GEMFACT: Sometimes I'll write a draft of a chapter and have to scrap a bunch of it because I realize it just isn't "Slytherin" enough for Audrey. If I find that I've replied on my own personal ideals (or my houses' ideals) too much, I'll rewrite everything.

#GEMFACT: To show a bit into my writing process, I'll show you the difference between a first and second draft of the last two chapters: 105 - First draft: 7388 words 105 - Second draft: 12,277 words 106 - First draft: 8944 words 106 - Second draft: 17,800 words

#GEMFACT: I rewrote "The Light from the Tower" two separate times. For each way it was written, there was a different arrangement of death(s). I chose the one that felt the most natural.

#GEMFACT I write each chapter 3 times. 1) I write it like a script [he said, she said, they went here, etc.] 2) I make sure Audrey is in character and add details and emotion. 3) I make sure the grammar, spelling, and structure make sense. As well as last minute touches.
