My book, The Daycare Myth, has arrived! It turns out that, much like babies themselves, books about babies can arrive before their official due dates. Over the past 24 hours Amazon has begun delivering The Daycare Myth all across the country… 11 days early. Combine that with Teachers College Press beginning delivery earlier in the month and I’m calling it: Release date or not, the book is now available. And I couldn’t be more excited. Writing a book is so different from the instant gratification of social media…with the seeds for The Daycare Myth planted almost two years ago and the whole thing completed 7 months ago (leaving me plenty of time to stew over all the things I wish I’d said and included). In the coming days and weeks I’ll have plenty more to announce, including details of a speaking tour beginning October 8 in Washington DC (details imminently). If you’ve already ordered, please know how grateful I am for your support of the book’s early success. I hope you’ll let me know what resonates.
