A resurrected #ghostpingo with "grow-faster" seedbank stripes (an expt!) that is >40 m long. In <2 yrs it will look like the ponds below as tons of long-lived seeds exposed in the excavation. Most successful ecological restoration known? @tim_holt_wilson @hburningham @TheBrecksLP

The resurrection of a #ghostpingo #pond. One of 10 in-filled ancient pingos that we have restored on @NorfolkWT land close to Thompson Common. We have recorded 57 wetland plants over 2 years. That is a gain of 57 plant species!!! Boom. @hburningham @tim_holt_wilson

A #ghostpingo that we ressurected for @NorfolkWT last summer on former farm land nr Thompson Common. Would like to see more water (drought!) but #pond had many water beetles & some toads. Success! Plants will come fast from the seedbank as it warms... @TheBrecksLP @hburningham
