Shoutout to Julie Pike, @DDOTDC civil engineer, who joined us as a #GuestEducator for our grant-funded #GeocachingDCsWaterways project. Julie taught students about green infrastructure in DC, including the importance of permeable pavement & street trees. #GuestEducatorsRock

#UASBatWeek began w/ a visit from Lindsay & Catherine, bat experts & wildlife biologists from @DOEE_DC. #Squadmembers learned a TON about bat conservation, got to see what it's like untangling bats from a mist net, & used real tools for tracking bats. #GuestEducatorsRock

UAS Publishing House: A Book-making Workshop has begun! Today author Katy Kelly (of Lucy Rose & Melonhead fame) taught #Squadmembers all about The Hero's Journey & character archetypes. This got creative juices flowing & gave students a storytelling framework. #GuestEducatorsRock
