This thing stressed me so much when I wanted to do my final clearance. I misplaced my 100 level receipts and the 2nd semester receipts of my 200 and 300 level, and I didn’t have the photocopies to give the bankers so they could issue me new ones. I made up my mind to pay the school fees again because I didn’t have the strength to start going through tons of books and records from 6 to 7 years ago. I filled the necessary forms and when I took them to the teller, the teller looked at me like I was mad or something and just told me to wait. She stood up and went to call one of the other bankers inside. The woman came and asked me what I wanted to pay for. I told her school fees and she just looked at me, shook her head and said, “I don’t blame you. It’s too much money that is doing you.” But the reality was that I was mentally drained and I just needed to get the clearance done with and leave that place. They told me to write my name and reg number down and go and sit down. They were the ones who went to bring out the records themselves. They asked what years I was looking for, I told them 100 level, 200 level and 300 level, and they brought out the records and started going through them one by one until they found where I had filled my name in those records. This was hours later. They were eventually able to give me new receipts from the records. I gave four of them 30k each and they couldn’t believe their eyes. They were so happy. 😂
