Once we were watching this old Bollywood film Love Story with Kumar Guarav. There is a scene in which she shows up at this work place in a lehnga and full chamak chalo with paratha and lassi and spoils him. Halaku Khan teased me that Mein to aisay kabhi na karooN unke liye. Er. Challenge accepted. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Unki SAT ki classes chal raheen theen LACAS ki purani building Mein. American instructors. 😂 All Halakus friends and him. I showed up. Walked straight into class, knocked on door and announced that Halakus dinner is here. Uff unke chehre pe shock aur ghussssaaaaaa. 😂 so embarrassed he was. I must have been 19 🤷🏻‍♀️ and was clueless at seeing his anger. Just thought he’d be v happy that I’d done the same as the film heroine had. And had his fav aloo parathas made also! The teacher asked me to leave the food outside. As class was going on. Maths ki class theee. I remember. 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️ I sat on the guards charpai with my lehnga in a circle around me. Feeling very chuffed. Oblivious to Halakus anger. Vo to class ke baad took one look at me, sitting in full costume with the matka and food on the charpai and stormed out. Leh. I was so confused. His friends all came and said “Hum khaa lete hain!” And dived into the aloo parathas and achar and lassi. I got a real earful of a lecture from Halaku. Then sulked for hours. Because I thought I was doing what I was meant to and was challenged to do 😂 and vo to khushi se mere haath se nivalaay khayaain ge like Kumar Guarav in the film. 😂 Phir Halaku phool leke mananay aaye ghar pe. Kyunke main phone uthaaooN hee na. 😂 Obviously unko dekhte heeeeee sulaaaa hogayeeeee 💃🏻 ❤️🙏🏼 Poor Halaku.
