The schlep so many face along the #HighwayFromHell #A75 for healthcare is a huge issue, and particularly acute for midwifery and maternity. Too many babies make their arrival in ambulances parked by the so-called EuroRoute.
The women of Dumfries and Galloway deserve access to local maternity care services.
No one should be forced to travel long journeys, on dangerous roads, for basic midwife appointments.

The A75 at Annan has now reopened following yesterday's closure.
The road is open, however is restricted to one carriageway, controlled by traffic lights whilst remaining repairs are completed.
