@LindsayGuentzel @smcgee @joshnorthsouth @lindsayinMPLS Iβm a huge fan of TENS units. The Aleve one works well for my low back, but this unit with multiple leads is like the one my physical therapist uses (which was great for my #HipFix)
Finally taking the plunge and registering for 2020 @GrandmasMara half marathon! I had hoped to be ready to run it this year, but recovery from #HipFix took longer than I hoped.
I tell people Iβm a runner, but I always qualify it by saying Iβm slow, like I donβt really deserve to be called a runner. Instead of being embarrassed by my time, I want to celebrate success. I had #HipFix surgery 11 months ago, and I just PRβd this 10 miler. #IAmARunner
@ExtraPaleMale Iβm starting a new job in a week. Itβs the culmination of building both work experience and a late in life masters degree. Iβm really excited for this change.
Also, I did my first 8 mile run since my #HipFix surgery last year. Getting ready for TC10.
Coming back from #HipFix surgery took longer than I hoped, but Iβm grateful for the great care I received from @twincitiesortho from surgery to PT. Thank you! This is my longest training run to date for @tcmarathon TC10, and as you can see, I fucking killed it.
#HipFix update: first 3.5 mile road run since since my surgery in September. Maggie rewarded me with kisses.
Havenβt done a #HipFix update in a while. Still on a walk-run regimen at partial body weight on the antigravity treadmill. Just ran 27 out of 45 minutes and covered 3.6 miles. Iβm tired but happy.
First run since #HipFix 16 weeks ago. Iβm running on an antigravity treadmill. 75% body weight at 5 mph to start.
Noticing that Iβm now passing people more frequently than Iβm being passed in the hallways at work. #HipFix
Agility ladder and hopping drills in PT today 15 weeks post-op #HipFix. Higher impact exercises mean Iβll be running soon! π
Gonna be one of those days #HipFix
#HipFix update: nearly 15 weeks post-op. Two more weeks and I get to start running π again. For now Iβm still on the bike π². My strength is really starting to come back, and Iβm working on my stamina. I still have some rough days, but they are fewer and farther between.
Nice of @twincitiesortho to make sure the shorts they gave me to wear for my 12 week post-op #HipFix exam match my socks.
The look of exhausted exhilaration. 5 miles on the bike, then 30 minutes of squats, walking lunges, bosu ball lunges, and single-leg balance while throwing a medicine ball against a trampoline and catching the rebound (from the front & both sides). This is progress. #HipFix
Ice ice, baby. First day of lunges and squats, 10 weeks post #HipFix surgery. Still on track to start running again in January!
