Mrs N was on hand to return the chest to the police.Soon after that, we found out we had been thanked in our own breaking news update. Then we had to settle down and get on with our English lesson- writing our own finding story. Luckily, we had some amazing ideas! #T4W #Hothook

The breaking news article told us that anyone with information should report it to the police straight away so we carefully carried it inside. #T4W #hothook

It was at this moment one of our Peacocks spotted it.....a hidden chest! We couldn't believe our eyes....was this the ancient artefact we had seen on the news? We looked around for the mysterious silhouette that had been spotted with it and then went to explore. #Hothook #T4W

With the thought of the stolen artefacts, and ancient treasure chest at the back of our minds we went for a walk around the school field to talk about our finding story ideas and to discuss how we would include features from our suspense toolkit in our writing. #T4W #Hothook

This was the moment, when arriving at school, the children caught sight of the breaking news that there had been precious artefacts taken from a local, historical house in Worksop. Peacocks wanted to know more but we had to make a start on our English lesson .....#hothook #T4W
